Why the colour vision step comes last
Colour blindness disqualifies a candidate from every Deck, Engine, ETO and GP Rating role under current DGS medical standards, with no correction accepted — checked before any academic cutoff in the real Merchant Navy medical. Confirming it here, before you've spent anything on coaching or a course, is the highest-leverage five minutes in the whole process.

Does the eligibility calculator include a colour blindness test?
Yes. The final step is a real Ishihara-based colour blindness screening, not a self-report question — a normal result is required before your full eligibility report unlocks.
What if my PCM percentage is below 60%?
You won't be eligible for the August batch, but the February batch becomes an option after an improvement exam, NIOS, or a Class 12 re-attempt. The calculator also shows GP Rating and Saloon/Catering as routes that don't need a PCM background at all.
